An Bang Beach in Hoi An Ancient Town

 

An Bang Beach (Biển An Bàng) is one of the few stretches of beach in Hoi An. The beach is relatively unspoiled by development, making it a popular place for soaking up the sun and enjoying an array of seaside activities. The beach also houses an array of beachfront hotels, resorts, loacl seafood restaurants, and hippy bars with stunning scenery of the neighbouring Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn), Da Nang Bay, and Da Nang City and Cham Island. Most of the restaurants here offer sunbed rentals between VND 15,000 and VND 40,000, but they will be free of charge if you dine there.

Some of the most popular activities for visitors at An Bang Beach are swimming, paddle-boarding, and surfing. If you love to learn how to surf during your visit, there are many board rentals, surf and stand-up paddling classes offered by the beach’s expat surfing community. Surf season here is from September until March, offering comfortably warm climate, spectacular wave conditions, and average water temperature of about 25°C.

You can also enjoy an array of affordable and delicious dining options at An Bang Beach, ranging from fresh local seafood and Vietnamese BBQ to authentic Italian and French fare. Some bistros such as La Plage, White Soul, and Soul Kitchen stay open until late, featuring themed nights, lively parties, happy hour promos, cold beers, strong cocktails, and a diverse playlist.

How to Get to An Bang Beach in Hoi An?

Located about 7 km north of Hoi An Ancient Town, you can easily reach An Bang Beach by bicycle or motorcycle. Parking Fee at the entrance to the beach is priced no more than 10.000 VND for the entire day. Alternatively, you can also opt for about five-minute taxi ride, which costs you about VND 80,000.
